    Yesterday, April 28th, 2018 marks the occasion of the 11th Annual Factory Five Cruise-In to Huntington Beach, California.

    So for those 11 years, the Surf City shuts down Main Street from the entrance to the HB Pier at Pacific Coast Highway for about five blocks north from the Pier with parking reserved exclusively for Factory Five's car owners.

    For over 14 years, every month on the first Saturday, a group called PV Seniors (www.pvseniors.org) hosts a terrific car show. It's called "Coffee & Cars", at the Peninsula Center in Rolling Hills Estates, California. Yes, every first Saturday, rain or shine (it never rains in Southern California!), and that's amounted to quite a long time!

    When it's a celebration of Carroll Shelby's birthday, all the ShelbyGuys come out for the annual Cruise-In at the Petersen Museum! This year was no exception.     In between Christmas & New Year's Day, my brother Domenic and his girlfriend Michele visitied Southern California to visit with some of the Saia family. They visited San Diego, Huntington Beach, and Rolling Hills Estates during their stay. We all had an opportunity to meet Michele, who, it turns out, is spectacular!

    The name, Saturday Shift, is the title for the local Ferrari dearler's monthly car show.

    The EarlyGuy (aka ShelbyGuy) gets the best spots.
